Grant proposal guidelines
Key dates: The Foundation’s grant request period is October 1 through May 31; the board makes its decisions by July 31 and communicates those decisions by mid-August.
- The typed proposal should not exceed five pages plus attachments and should be devoid of terminology or acronyms unfamiliar to the grant proposal reviewers.
- A signed cover letter should clearly state the general request, the amount requested, and the name of the requesting organization’s executive director.
- Attachments that relate to the proposal should include a budget worksheet; a list of current board members; strategic plan, if available; an IRS document affirming the nonprofit designation of the organization (this does not apply to public schools).
